How are contractors ranked?
By Google star rating, highest first: a 5.0 lists above a 4.9, and when two businesses share a rating the one with more reviews goes first. Businesses with no rating yet list after the rated ones, alphabetically. Featured businesses that hold five stars on Google — 4.8 or higher — are listed first, and their rows are labeled Featured.
Is a listing free?
Yes, and it stays free. Every business on the list has a full profile — phone, hours, rating, service area — at no cost, and creating and claiming it costs nothing. A followed link to your website comes with Featured, which is the only paid product and is labeled as advertising.
What does a listing include?
Your business name, trade, city, phone number, opening hours, Google rating and review count, and service area. Claim it and you can edit your description, hours, phone and service area, and it carries the owner-verified badge. A followed link to your website is part of Featured. Send your logo through the contact form and we add it for you.
How do I claim or add my business?
Create a free account, then find your business on the list and claim it in one click — or, if it is not on the list yet, add it. Owner-verified: instantly when your email matches your website, otherwise we confirm with you within one business day. A business added this way goes live once it is confirmed.
What does Featured get me, and does it change my rank?
A Featured seat puts your business in a labeled box above your trade's list on one city page that lists you — and on your trade page when a reader narrows it to that city — and adds a followed link to your website, for $27 a month. While your Google rating holds five stars (4.8 or higher) it also lists you first, with a Featured label; below that, your position stays where your rating puts it. You can buy one without an account: pay first, and it goes live as soon as we confirm the business is yours — or the payment is refunded in full.
